The EU’s Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation is undergoing significant changes that impact how chemical hazards are defined, communicated, and managed. With new hazard classes being introduced in 2024, upcoming revisions in 2025, and the alignment with the latest GHS updates, the pace of change is accelerating. This roundtable provides a timely opportunity to hear directly from the European Commission on the rationale behind these developments, their strategic direction, and the impact on industry. We will also explore how CLP connects with Europe’s goals for strategic autonomy and competitiveness and discuss what support industry needs to meet the Commission’s ambitions.
This event is designed for professionals in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, and government affairs, as well as anyone involved in the management or implementation of chemical safety regulations.
Event Format:
This is an in-person, "meet the policymaker" roundtable and will be conducted under the Chatham House rule. This informal setting allows for open, constructive dialogue between policymakers and industry stakeholders.
